I just placed an order, when will it arrive?

All orders are shipped within three business days and you will be provided with tracking information once your shipment has been submitted to the mail carrier. If for some unlikely reason it will take longer than three business days to ship, I'll let you know as soon as your order is confirmed.

Orders shipped within Canada will typically arrive within ten days. Orders shipped internationally can take up to 20 days, sometimes longer depending on where you are, natural disasters, political upheaval, and other such things that are outside my ability to control.

Where do you ship to and how much do you charge?

Within Canada, shipping is $15.00 CAD.
Shipping to the United States is $20.00 CAD
International shipping is $25.00 CAD.

I live in the United States, will I have to pay a tariff?

Technically, you shouldn't have to.

Under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), I've been approved for a tariff exemption as my products are made in Canada. This means I'm able to ship to the United States without charging any tariffs prior to shipping.

However, I have seen some reports of shipments that fall within the CUSMA requirements being rejected at the border, so it seems that there are no sure-fire solutions.

If your order gets rejected at the border I will issue you a full refund. If your order makes it to you and you are subsequently charged a tariff, I'm afraid that will be your responsibility to pay or challenge via whatever channels might be available to you.

If my device isn't working properly, will you fix it?

Absolutely - all Sleep Champion Devices are guaranteed to work as intended under normal use. Here's how it works;

Within 14 days of arrival: If your device arrives with a fault, I will repair or replace it for you free of charge, and I'll cover the cost of the return shipping.

After 14 days: If something goes wrong after 14 days, I'll still repair your device. You'll cover the cost of shipping it to me and I'll cover the cost of shipping the repaired unit back to you.

What's not covered: This warranty doesn't cover things like using an incorrect power supply, dropping the unit, damage caused by liquid or anything else that falls outside a reasonable interpretation of 'normal use'.

Sometimes things just happen, so if you do manage to damage or break your device I will probably still try to help you out, but you may need to cover some costs for replacement parts. Get in touch via the contact link below and tell me your tale of woe.

Is Horse Cult based on the Klon Centaur?

No, the Klon Centaur is an entirely different beast - it's built around op amp gain stages and features hard clipping diodes.

Horse Cult is built around JFET gain stages and does not have any diodes in the circuit.

What do the trimpots inside Horse Cult do?

The internal trimpots are used to calibrate the transistors in each gain stage of the circuit - these should not be adjusted.

I calibrate each unit by ear and take the time to make sure they all sound consistent. If you do decide to tinker with the trimpots, which I strongly suggest you don't do, the only way to restore them to the original settings is to ship your device back to me for recalibration.

Are your devices true bypass?

Yes - all Sleep Champion Devices are wired for true bypass.

How do I power your devices?

Sleep Champion Devices run on a standard 9V center negative power supply - any Boss-style adapter should work. You should not attempt to run your device with an 18V or center positive power supply as this will likely damage or destroy the unit.
